Support will initially be home-based and focused on play, sensory activities and shared routines. As J gets to know his carer and feels safe, this may gradually develop to include short outings.

The Support Workers will be employed by and will be responsible to the young boy’s parents and will provide a role primarily supporting the parents through offering respite. The role will take place within the young family of four’s household which does include a pet dog. The role will also involve days out and trips with the child to activities, including going on walks and going to parks. The young boy also enjoys going to Air hop and soft play.
The Support Worker as part of the role must be comfortable to have full and responsible supervision of the child at all times, whilst providing personal care where necessary, such as support with eating and ensuring appropriate clothing. The candidate must have a driving license and suitable transport capable of fitting a push chair.
The hours will consist of 10 hours per week. Times are flexible and negotiable. The hourly rate is £12.71.
